What's the Frequency, Kenneth?

I have a question. I would like everyone to chime in, whether or not I know you.

Does anyone have any idea when the American workforce began being referred to as "workers?"

This has troubled me for a while and I'd like to hear some ideas on the subject.

That is all.

It seems to me that we used to be referred to as employees, the workforce, ________'s co-workers, associates, etc.

I am unsure of what you would rather call them. I am a worker. I don't feel like less of a man because of that word. I would if I was called a slacker because I was collecting unemployment. But I am not, I am a worker.

Now if you are asking the question so that you can try to bash the Prez, then it wasn't really a question at all but a statement.
